Larry Bofman, LUTCF is a respected independent insurance agent of
over 20 years experience. He served as a captive insurance agent
and district
sales manager for one of the nation’s leading insurance companies.
Larry is currently an independent agent and represents many of
North America’s
leading insurance companies.
After completing college Larry held a
sales position with a company that manufactured medical monitoring
systems for Open
Heart Surgery
and Cardiac
Care Units. Larry recalls, “After the company let all its
sales force go for dealer representation, I was devastated and
never wanted
to let
anyone control my ability to earn an income again.”

As Larry began soul searching to find what he wanted to do with his
life he came upon the Insurance industry. “It was an opportunity
to work with people and try and make a difference in their lives.”

After
interviewing and researching several companies Larry was hired by a
national multi-line insurance underwriter. This gave
Larry the opportunity
to get excellent training and learn about all the different lines
of insurance. Later Larry began to specialize in the areas of
Life, Health and Disability.

Since Larry began his Insurance career
in 1985 he has received numerous industry awards for top sales achievements,
quality
business and outstanding
customer service.

Larry created and developed the radio program “Your Insurance
Matters” to
provide information and advice to the insurance consumer.
Larry says “I
hated seeing people spend their hard earned money and not
having adequate coverage, paying too much for their coverage or falling
into scams or rip
offs.” The goal of “Your Insurance Matters” is
to clarify the wide range of choices available to the insurance
consumer in an interactive
and informative manner.

Larry is grateful to Independent 1310 KXAM for
the opportunity to bring this show to the airwaves.

When not preparing
for his weekly radio program on Independent 1310 KXAM or
assisting clients, Larry spends a lot of
his free time giving back to
the community through various volunteer activities.

Among these activities
are his involvement in a business networking organization
and an animal
assisted therapy program.
Larry joined a networking group, Le Tip International.
This is a networking group of professional men and women
dedicated
to
the highest
standards
of competences and service. After serving four years
on his chapters board Larry became president of the North
Scottsdale
chapter.
Larry says one
of the most rewarding aspects of the group is the “Psychic
Income” one
earns through helping other members grow their business.

“One of my volunteer activities I am most proud of is the work I’ve
done with my German Shepherd, Samantha.” Larry and Samantha became
certified through the “Delta Society” in the Animal-Assisted
Activity and Animal-Assisted Therapy program. “It’s extremely
rewarding,” says Larry. “The animals provide a comforting and
nurturing environment and it’s very rewarding
to witness the incredible improvements the patients
make physically and emotionally.”

Larry and Samantha were one of the Pet Therapy teams
featured in a documentary filmed at the Barrow Neurological
Institute
and were
also
featured on an
episode of “Sonoran Living” on ABC television.
Larry and Samantha twice received the “Miracles
of Love” award for their
service to the community.

Although Samantha passed away last year, Larry
plans to continue in the program. He is training
two
new dogs, Shilo
and Rupert,
who will pick up
where he and Samantha left off.
